It's funny the ways words sometimes get jumbled up when reading.  I just read a sentence and thought a word was "Indiscretions," when it was actually "Winerooms." Some very long paragraphs near the end of today's reading.  I've been falling behind lately, missing a lot of days, and I need to stop doing that.  But I am still committed to finishing the book, ideally soonish.  Like, by the end of the year.  It's encouraging to see my bookmark almost halfway through the side of the book.

I still wish they made more than passing references to Oscar Wilde, though I wonder if he wasn't still a sore subject at the time of writing?  He'd been dead more than half as long as he'd lived, but that might not be long enough for something like conviction for homosexuality to fade.
