Slowing down

Sometimes, life seems... sort of, you know, heightened.  Sometimes the world feels a bit like a movie, and you're a part of something dramatic and weird and exciting. Last night was one of those nights.  I was up till like 3am, watching Twitter and Tumblr and Reddit explode with excitement about the Curiosity landing.  It was crazy and amazing and I didn't want to sleep because I didn't want to stop seeing the tweets.

Now, though, today seems sort of slowed down in comparison. It probably doesn't help that I'm getting sick, but it's hard to focus on the importance of anything else today.  Last night was history unfolding before my eyes.  Today, I'm just refreshing a couple pages to see if the new Dresden Codak is up and find out the location of a particular book.  (As of this update, no progress on either.)
