Great Britain had a campaign to defeat American Nazi sympathizer Hamilton Fish III

Sometimes, I like to bounce around Wikipedia looking for things that catch my interest.  Today, I went on and searched for "Nazi fish." Unfortunately, there were no immediate results.  I did, however, find the page of Hamilton Fish III, an American soldier and politician, and all around delightful figure from our nation's history.*

He was a staunch isolationist, and an antisemite and Nazi sympathizer.  (Wikipedia calls it "alleged" ties to the Nazis, but I think we all know what that means.  Nudge nudge, wink wink.  Nazi.)  On one occasion, after returning from a trip to Germany in 1939, he distributed antisemetic literature around congress.  When someone called him an antisemite, he's quoted on Wikipedia as having said,  "It doesn't bother me any. There's been too much Jewism going around anyway."

So, there you have it.  Hamilton Fish III.  One of the many amusingly horrible people in America's history.

*I really hope the sarcasm comes through in that line.
