Regular readers are, I'm sure, well acquainted with my loathing of personal transportation. It's probably also come up that that loathing tends to flare up in correspondence with car trouble in my personal life. (The failure of American civilization to organize comprehensive public transportation is a travesty the whole time, it's just more enraging when the horrible mechanisms for substituting it are affecting me personally.) That's all about to end, though! (Maybe.) I've got a new (old) car that has, at least, far fewer problems than my current one, if not no significant problems at all!
So, strangers: that means less rants about public transportation except by request. Friends: that means less worrying that if I leave your house in the nighttime I won't make it home.
